A little bit about us

Ali and Britt are sisters and co-founders of The Willoughby Co. We grew up in Delaware and now run our business remotely: Ali in Boise, ID, and Britt in Accra, Ghana!

At 5 and 7, we were co-directing neighborhood movies and plays. At 6 and 8, we co-organized a very tiny “save the trees” effort in our neighborhood. At 28 and 30, we hosted a blog together (RIP Honey & Chamomile!). And as adults, we’re both enamoured with podcasts and we think we make a pretty great team.

ABOUT BRITT

I live a nomadic life due to my spouse’s career and podcasts have been my steady go-to through all of it. I am absolutely in a codependent relationship with my favorite podcasts.

One great thing about moving a lot is I have had the opportunity to do many things. I have been a paralegal, development officer, AmeriCorps Program Director, and a program manager for a large university. Each experience has added something positive to my life and taught me something valuable. I also completed my Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown University and wrote my thesis on the intersection of policy, religion, and food.

I grew up in Wilmington, DE and currently live in Ghana with my husband, and two young kids. I am learning about the culture and starting a weekly yoga practice.

I’m the co-founder of The Willoughby Co with my sister, Ali.

ABOUT Ali

Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, I’ve hopped around a bit, living in Olympia, Washington, Seattle, and now Boise, Idaho where I live with my husband and our two senior dogs, Belka and Daisy.

I’ve been working in the digital media space for 15 years, first working remotely as an editor for Outside.in (which was a hyper-local neighborhood news site) to eventually starting my own business where I’ve worked with amazing women on everything from social media, content and blog management, course and curriculum support and creation, community management, audio editing, and other podcast services. All the while, podcasts have been my virtual co-workers and companions.

At the start of 2022, I co-founded The Willoughby Co with my sister, Britt, offering podcast production services.

Lately, I’ve been hosting “crafternoon” events here in Boise, listening to lots of podcasts and slow-motion renovating my 1964 home.

We know you have a message to share & we want to help!
